2024 Spring Season Registration


As we get ready to close out on an exciting 2023 Hockey Season, the IceCats Hockey Club is ready for Spring Hockey!  We can't wait to see you at tryouts and information pertaining to the spring season as well as the registration link is listed below. 
 

OVERVIEW

  • Spring season begins after the regular season playoffs and state tournament have been completed
  • No games or practices will be held over spring break
  • JV & Varsity will each play at least 8 games in the West Meadows Spring Hockey League and may seek additional competitive play based on availability

Evaluations for the IceCats 2024 spring season are scheduled for:

  • Saturday, March 16, 2024 - 5:20 - 6:20 PM (Glacier Ice Arena)
  • Sunday, March 17, 2024 - 3:40 - 4:40 PM (Glacier Ice Arena)

Players must bring a light and dark jersey with their names on them for the evaluation 
Players must attend the tryout unless told otherwise by the Hockey Director.

FEES

  • Player fees are $750
  • Goalie fees are $300
  • New to IceCats Uniform Fee $75 which includes (Spring Jersey, Practice Jersey and Hockey Socks)

COACH EXPECTATIONS
Participation in practices and games will be mandatory, unless

  1. Participation in a spring high school sport presents a conflict (these events will supersede an IceCats event); or
  2. A medical excuse prevents participation

IceCats Hockey Club is a combined high school sports organization representing students enrolled at Libertyville and Vernon Hills school districts in northeastern Illinois.  We are part of the Illinois High School Hockey League (IHSHL) - North Central Division.   We are a 501(c)(3) corporation under the  governance of USA Hockey and the American Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI).  The IceCats hockey program is a local community of families and coaches with a shared passion for hockey, fitness and good sportsmanship.

IceCats aim is to be part of a team where both athletes and coaches: strive to realize excellence on the ice & off the ice, and where character always counts.

Mission

To nurture a life-long passion for hockey and foster a culture of excellence, by creating opportunities for hockey players & coaches to establish and strive for their goals.  Provide the infrastructure and organization that allows participant to develop athletic, social and sportsmanship skills through participation and practice in the game of hockey.
