Fall IceCats

The IceCats will be including a pre-tryout bootcamp as part of this year’s tryout registration. This will allow an opportunity for all players to enter tryouts in top condition. Sessions are run by our Coaching Staff. Registration is mandatory for any player interested in playing for the IceCats this fall. Players must both register and attend tryouts to be eligible to play for the IceCats.

Ages

Any D128 enrolled 9th-12th grader (Libertyville High School or Vernon Hills High School)

When

Mid-August to Mid-March

Where

Practices and home games will be held at Glacier Ice Arena. Games may be played across the Chicagoland region.

Practices

➢ Weekly ice slots (practices and home games) alternate between 3 and 4 slots each week

➢ Dedicated Goalie Skill Development

Games

➢ Season games and playoffs organized within Illinois High School Hockey League (North-Central Division)

➢ 2 -3 Team tournaments, including one out of town tournament

➢ IL State Championship tournament through Amateur Hockey Association Illinois

Uniform Package

New Player Equipment Package:

Premier home and away jersey, home and away game socks, practice Jersey, home and away shell, IceCats team jacket, and Z2 custom hockey bags

Returning Players:

All players will receive new game socks. A custom store will be created to allow “a la cart” selection of replacement gear that has worn out or requires replacement.

Do I need an updated USA Hockey number?

Yes, you will need a current season USA hockey number to register.

When will registration open?

Registration for the upcoming season will open end of July/beginning of August
